Jessica has been one of my best friends for as long as I can remember. We have fun memories of tire swings, pool parties, and sleep overs. She is the kind of friend that will tell you exactly what she thinks, even if you don’t want to hear it. I treasure her.

My husband, Rusty, and Jeremy grew up together. Jessica affectionately calls their friendship a “bromance.” They can go weeks without talking to each other, and pick up right where they left off. Their devotion to their friendship over time and distance is inspiring. We have a file of letters that they wrote to each other when Jeremy was in the navy. They truly are best friends.

Just over 3 years ago, Rusty and I had that great idea that our single best friends should meet each other. We set up numerous blind dates. We arranged for the 4 of us to go to a local singer/songwriter’s show, Rusty’s birthday dinner, and a meandering around town date and finally game night at our house. Nothing was appearing to work. Much to my surprise, they showed up at my 30th birthday party, together. It was on!

Jessica and Jeremy are prefect for each other. They compliment each other and make each other better. As Rusty said at their toasting party, “We are so happy that our best friends have become best friends.”

Now…on to the day.

Jessica and Jeremy decided on a reveal before the ceremony. Jeremy couldn’t wait to get his eyes on Jessica. They were so taken with each other. Being a part of these little moments is why I love my job. Look at Jeremy’s eyes in the picture on the right. They still hadn’t seen each other…and he couldn’t wait. His eyes were cutting as hard as they could to get a peek. 🙂

It was such a beautiful evening for a November wedding.

A sweet growing baby-bump, a beautiful momma, a charming, dashing dad, and an energetic 4 year old boy…the perfect recipe for a great family photo session. When Kelly called me to shoot their family, I was thrilled. I know I have said it before, but little boys steal my heart. I went to a local antique market look for a piece of inspiration for the shoot…you know, a back up in case things went south. I found a red airplane and knew it would be perfect. I arrived on location for our shoot, and Ty saw my red airplane immediately. They bonded. It was love at first sight.

Many thanks to the Youngs for spending their evening with me. We had fun.
