Engagement sessions are very foundational in building a relationship with my clients. I see that time as time spent getting to know the couple. I can always see a difference on a wedding day inthe trust that’s been built when I’ve worked with a them before. It means so much for each and every couple to allow me into their lives to document their relationship.

Megan and I hit if off right away at our first meeting at Buckhead City Club. She is totally down to earth, and SO easy going. With the busy schedule in the fall, we literally squeeeeeeeezed their session in on a Sunday afternoon…..and I’m so glad that we did.

Did you guys ever decide to go with the Alfredo in the jar, or make it from scratch?

Thanks for hanging with me-

Khadijah is a part of a family that has battle scars that have only made them stronger. The women in her family are kind, compassionate and love each other with a fierceness that rivals my own family. It was unbelievably inspiring to watch these women come together to celebrate Khadijah and Colon on their wedding day.

I worked with Colton and Khadijah last fall for their engagement session. From the second I saw them, I felt the tenderness in their relationship. Colton absolutely adores Khadijah…how could he not? She is graceful. She is lovely. Her beauty radiates from the inside out. Any groom that gets teary when he sees his bride has me. I stole little moments all day with my camera. Colton proudly rubbing his new wedding ring during the reception, sneaking a little kiss on her ankle when he pulled the garter off, and the admiration in his eyes as he watched her. These little things that went unnoticed by many spoke volumes to me about the love and devotion he has for his lady.

It was an amazing day.  Thank you both for trusting us with so much. It was an honor. That day will live on forever through the pictures we took.

Your impression on my heart is deep.

Kelly is one of the sweetest most gracious brides I’ve had the pleasure of working with.

I’ve noticed a special trend in my photographic eye. Of course I’m tuned in to the special relationship between the couple I’m there for, but I’ve started noticing the pictures I’ve made of family more and more. The sweet moments between sisters, and mothers and daughters, specifically. Maybe it’s because my sisters and I are finally at an age where we can appreciate each other, and so I have a deeper appreciation for that bond, or maybe it’s because more than anything I desire for my girls to always be close and look out for each other. Whatever the reason, I’ve noticed the special moments I’ve grabbed within those interactions.

Kelly and Kym are certainly sweet sisters. Kym was attentive, supportive, and always smiling. When toasts came around, Kym had the room teary with her description of Kelly….strong, kind and a generous woman…that always thought of others first. Every interaction I’ve had with Kelly has been wonderful. She is calm and relaxed, and takes in every second. On her wedding day, she breathed every moment in.

Working with Jon and Kelly on their engagement session, I knew that their wedding would be special, and it was. They are head over heals crazy about each other. Their affections for each other are genuine, and deeply felt. It was the tiny glances and smiles throughout the day, when they didn’t think anyone was watching, that made my heart swell. Yes, I’m a hopeless romantic. I’m a hopeless romantic that still believes in love. I still believe that true love and devotion can exist between two people, because I see it in couples like Jon and Kelly.

Jon and Kelly,

Thank you both for letting me be there with you. It’s my joy to continue doing what I do. As I drove home, my heart kept repeating an old Irish wedding blessing for you…so I wanted to share. Many blessings to you both. You are both so special.

<3- K

May God be with you and bless you.
May you see your children’s children.
May you be poor in misfortunes
and rich in blessings.
May you know nothing but happiness
from this day forward.
